LG Leader Guide | Week of 2.23.2025

Hello Lifegroup Leaders!

Have you ever organized catering for a large group? Jesus has too…but his way is a whole lot easier (and cheaper)! Listen to the Podcast from Sunday! We were in Mark 6:30-44 when Jesus feeds a crowd of 10 to 20 thousand. We learned that God desires to form us and shape us into the image of Jesus Christ through ministering to others. Let’s Prepare for Harvest together! The discussion guide and kids guides are posted.

On to our main topic for this week…

UPDATE: WE NOW HAVE SECTION LEADERS! PLEASE READ!

  • The is exciting news! We have 8 faithful and incredible leaders and pillars within our church who are stepping in as Section Leaders for our Lifegroups!

  • Who are they? These amazing people are…

    • Kevin & Briana Cho

    • Sean & Namitha Conroy

    • Kevin & Danielle Palm

    • Parker Page

    • Julie Johnson

  • What does this mean? It means all of our LG Leaders now have a couple dedicated to praying for you and your group, caring for you as a person/follower of Jesus, coaching you in leadership of your group, and encouraging you along the way. In a nutshell, they help us provide healthy oversight and pour more into you than what leading takes out.

  • What do you need to do? Nothing. Your Section Leader will reach out and initiate with you to find a regular monthly time to visit with you which works for your schedule and theirs.

  • Lastly, I want all of you to know, each of our Section Leaders hold the highest level of trust, admiration, and respect that I have to offer for their spiritual maturity and the way in which, over the last decade, I have seen them love others like Jesus, walk in discipleship, model repentance and humility, and pursue relationship with Jesus and love for His church in their lives both publicly and privately. I know they will be a blessing to you!

  • I will be reaching out to each of you to let you know who is your designated Section Leader.

  • This in no way is meant to discourage you from reaching out to me for anything. I’m still always available to you! Now you’re just richer in relationship…you’re welcome 😉

  • If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them for you! Just reach out.

Lifegroup Best Practice of the Week:

Have a high value for hospitality! This was a distinguishing feature of the early church and we’re encouraged in scripture to do this! When people enter your LG, how are they greeted? Is everyone in a convo and no one looks up? Or does someone walk over, greet them with joy, and say “I’m so glad that you’re here!”. The manner in which we greet others matters…it’s a simple yet tangible reflection of how God welcomes us into his Kingdom and it has the power to shape someone’s life. Romans 15:7 (ESV) “Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”

Grace and peace,

Donny Tapie
